Abstract

Objective To investigate the application effec-tiveness of a 3D cardiac simulator in atrial fibrillation inter-ventional training by evaluating trainees'modeling efficien-cy,procedural accuracy,and confidence enhancement to clarify its educational value.Methods A total of 50 inter-ventional trainees were selected and trained using a cardiac 3D simulators,including left atrial modeling,mitral annu-lus localization,and pulmonary vein orifice determination.The average modeling time and the number of pressure alarms during clinical practice under the guidance of men-tors were recorded before and after 10 simulator practices.A questionnaire was used to survey the trainees'subjective feelings about the training.Results Compared with before simulator training,after practice,the average completion time of left atrial modeling,mitral annulus localization and pulmonary vein orifice determination under the guidance of mentors was significantly shortened,and the number of pressure alarms was significantly reduced.The results of the questionnaire showed that most trainees considered the simulator training"great extent",which stimulated their learning interest,enhanced their understanding of catheter operation and related anatomical structures,and increased their confidence in independent operation.Conclusion The 3D cardiac simulator can significantly improve trainees'operational skills and confidence,shorten the learning curve,and provide an efficient and safe learning tool for atrial fibrillation interventional surgery training.
