Abstract
Objective To investigate the influence of perfusion volume of bone cement on the effect of percutaneous vertebroplasty(PVP)in the treatment of osteoporotic vertebral compression fracture(OVCF)in the elderly.Methods The 132 patients with OVCFs were divided into the observation group(≥6 ml,64 cases)and the control group(<6 ml,68 cases)according to different bone cement perfusion volume,the anterior edge height of the vertebral body,ODI score,pain VAS,JOA score,kyphotic Cobb angle of the injured vertebra and incidence of complications were recorded in the two groups.Results All patients were followed up for 12 months.The pain VAS,the height ra-tio of the anterior edge of the vertebral body,the kyphotic Cobb angle of injured vertebrae,the ODI score and the JOA score of both groups at postoperative various period were all improved,compared with those before the operation(P<0.05).At 12 months after the operation,the pain VAS in the observation group was lower than that in the con-trol group(P<0.05),the height ratio of the anterior edge of the vertebral body was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05),the kyphotic Cobb angle of injured vertebrae in the observation group was smaller than that in the control group(P<0.05),and there were no statistical differences in the ODI score and JOA score between the two groups(P>0.05).The incidence of bone cement leakage and the total complication in the observation group were both higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions Different volume of bone cement PKP in the treatment of OVCF can effectively relieve pain,correct kyphosis deformity of the vertebral body,promote the recovery of anterior vertebral height,and improve vertebral function.The perfusion of larger doses of bone cement has more advantages in relieving pain,restoring vertebral height,and improving kyphosis deformity of the vertebral body,but it also has the disadvantages of higher incidence of bone cement leakage and complication.关键词
