摘要

Abstract

This study investigated the effects of different drip irrigation amounts on the growth,development,nicotine content,and yield of tobacco,aiming to provide a theoretical basis for introducing medicinal plants as botanical pesticides in arid northern regions.Using cigar tobacco in a greenhouse setting,three irrigation treatments were applied:low(T1,2 550 m3·hm-2),medium(T2,3 450 m3·hm-2),and high(CK,4 350 m3·hm-2).The impacts on dry matter accumulation and partitioning in stems,leaves,and veins at different growth stages,along with leaf area index(LAI),leaf area duration(LAD),yield,irrigation water use efficiency(IWUE),and nicotine content,were analyzed.Results demonstrated that throughout the growth period,CK treatment consistently exhibited higher LAD and LAI than T1,but lower than T2.Compared to T1,the T2 treatment increased yield,IWUE,nicotine content at maturity,and nicotine accumulation by 32.8%,45.3%,and 10.2%,respectively.Compared to CK,T2 increased these parameters by 9.1%,19.3%,and 27.6%,respectively.Correlation analysis revealed that nicotine accumulation showed a highly significant positive correlation with leaf yield,stem yield,and LAD,and a significant positive correlation with LAI and leaf nicotine content.The study concludes that medium drip irrigation enhances LAI and LAD,promotes tobacco growth and yield formation,and significantly increases nicotine content and yield.This provides a scientific basis for rational water management in cultivating medicinal botanical pesticide plants in arid northern regions.
