Effectiveness of collaborative physician-nurse tele-mentoring within a medical consortium model in enhancing research competence among nurses in primary healthcare institutions

Abstract
Objective To evaluate the effectiveness of collaborative physician-nurse tele-mentoring within a medical consortium model in enhancing research competence among nurses in primary healthcare institutions.Methods Between February 2023 and February 2024,253 nurses in primary healthcare institutions were enrolled in this study.Utilizing the medical consortium platform,tele-mentor-ing for nursing research was conducted.An expert panel of medical and nursing professionals was established.Following the establish-ment of tele-mentoring protocols,procedures,and scope,tailored guidance was delivered in response to clinical nursing research chal-lenges and project implementation difficulties encountered in primary healthcare institutions.Intervention effectiveness was measured by the number of tele-mentoring sessions completed,research outputs and scores of nursing research competence and self-efficacy.Results After the intervention,23 tele-mentoring sessions were completed.The nursing research competence score increased signifi-cantly from 36.70±2.89 to 77.97±2.18,while the self-efficacy score rose from 69.56±9.15 to 96.07±10.12(both P<0.05)(both P<0.05).Conclusion Tele-mentoring for nursing research with medical consortium model facilitates research output,research competence and self-efficacy among nurses in primary healthcare institutions,serving as a model for advancing nursing research in these settings.关键词
