Abstract
Objective To evaluate the methodological and psychometric quality of specific somatic symptom assessment tools for hemodialysis patients,and to provide reference for the recommended use of symptom assessment tools for hemodialysis patients.Methods We systematically searched PubMed,CINAHL,Embase,Web of Science,China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),VIP,Wanfang,and the Chinese Biomedical Literature Database for literature on specific somatic symptom assessment tools for hemodi-alysis patients,with a retrieval period ranging from the inception to July 2025.Two researchers independently screened the literature,extracted data,and conducted a systematic review of the included tools based on the COSMIN guidelines,ultimately forming the final recommendation.Results The twelve included studies evaluated eleven symptom assessment tools for hemodialysis patients.Among these,the Hemodialysis Symptom Burden Scale,the Traditional Chinese Medicine-Characterized Symptom Distress Scale for Mainte-nance Hemodialysis Patients,and the Dialysis Symptom Index(DSI)were recommended as Grade-A,while the remaining 8 assessment tools were recommended as Grade-B.Conclusion Compared with other assessment tools,the Traditional Chinese Medicine-Specific Symptom Distress Scale for Maintenance Hemodialysis Patients,the DSI,and the Hemodialysis Patient Symptom Burden Scale are com-prehensive in content and have good reliability and validity,and can be recommended for temporary use.However,of the 3 scales,only the DSI is widely used domestically and internationally.It is recommended that when using the recommended tools in this study in the future,comparative analyses should be considered,and reports on their measurement attributes should be improved to provide referenc-es for the future update of symptom assessment tools for hemodialysis patients.关键词
