The Basic Ideas,Historical Experiences,and Contemporary Enlightenment of Zhang Jian's Exploration of Early Agricultural Modernization

Abstract
Zhang Jian's thoughts on early agricultural modernization took shape during the social transition period from the late Qing Dynasty to the early Republic of China.These thoughts are embodied in three core aspects:the idea of enlightening public wisdom under"humanism",the integrated development concept of agriculture,industry,and commerce,and the concept of local autonomy rooted in"rural communitarianism".He put these ideas into practice through the founding of the Tonghai Reclamation and Animal Husbandry Company.Through an in-depth analysis of Zhang Jian's exploration of early agricultural modernization,this paper draws on historical experiences from his efforts,including promoting corporatized intensive management,exploring agricultural mechanization,constructing science and technology promotion systems,and improving the agricultural education chain.Based on these insights,targeted suggestions are proposed for contemporary agricultural modernization reform:strengthening policy support to promote large-scale operations,popularizing agricultural technology in line with local conditions while improving circulation infrastructure,improving farmer education and training systems,and fostering social entrepreneurs with both national feelings and innovative capabilities.关键词
