Abstract

To address the low accuracy of online pH detection in cultivation substrates,a TiO2 elec-trode was fabricated by chemical etching and utilized as the working electrode in a pH sensor.An ex-tended-gate field-effect transistor(EGFET)-based pH sensor and an online detection system were de-veloped.The hardware consisted of a power supply circuit,an EGFET sensor circuit,a signal condi-tioning circuit,a voltage follower circuit,and a main control unit based on an STM32 microcontroller with ESP8266 Wi-Fi module.The software architecture included embedded firmware,an IoT cloud platform,and a mobile application for remote monitoring.Experimental results demonstrate that the EGFET-based sensor exhibits superior performance over conventional potentiometric methods,with im-provements in response time,drift,hysteresis,and linearity.In validation tests using a cultivation sub-strate with 71.4%relative moisture content,the system achieves a maximum relative error of 2.63%,representing a 16.51%reduction compared to traditional methods.The proposed system enhances the accuracy and reliability of real-time pH monitoring in agricultural substrates.
