The Motivation,Focus and Path of the QUAD to Strengthen"Indo-Pacific"Intelligence Cooperation

Abstract
[Research purpose]Since the formation of the QUAD,the"Indo-Pacific"region has become the core of its strategic concern.By exploring the motivation,focus and measures of the four countries to strengthen the"Indo-Pacific"intelligence cooperation,this paper analyzes the potential threats to China's national security.[Research method]Taking the official documents and joint practical activities issued by the QUAD as the research objects,using text analysis and case analysis,this paper systematically sorts out the driving factors,key areas and implementation paths of the four countries to strengthen the"Indo-Pacific"intelligence cooperation,and puts forward rele-vant strategic suggestions.[Research result/conclusion]The strengthening of intelligence cooperation in the"Indo-Pacific"under the QUAD stems from the strategic needs of the four countries to utilize their geographical advantages to achieve intelligence complementarity,respond to the multi-dimensional competitive needs of China's rise,and expand their influence through cooperation practices.In the fields of counter-terrorism,non-proliferation,maritime,cyber and space,the four countries aim to build a broad,flexible and strategically competitive intelligence network in the"Indo-Pacific"region by deepening and expanding intelligence relations,building intelligence sha-ring platforms,conducting multi-level intelligence exchanges,expanding cooperation areas and promoting the formation of"QUAD+".In this regard,China should enhance the situational awareness and intelligence analysis of the ocean,strengthen counter-intelligence capa-bilities,and deepen intelligence cooperation in the region,so as to effectively cope with the increasingly complex situation in the"Indo-Pacific"region.关键词
