摘要

Abstract

To understand the dehydration sensitivity and recalcitrance of Taxillus chinensis(DC.)Danser seeds,this study investigated the effects of different dehydration durations on the seeds by measuring changes in soluble sugar content,starch content,relative electrical conductivity of the seed leachate,soluble protein content,and cytochrome oxidase content during dehydration stress.The results revealed that with increasing dehydration time,the seed water content gradually decreases.However,the soluble sugar content,starch content,soluble protein content,cytochrome oxidase content,and relative electrical conductivity of the seed leachate all tended to increase first but then decreased.In the early stage of dehydration,the soluble sugar content,starch content,and relative electrical conductivity of the seed leachate increased significantly;in the late stage,the starch content and cytochrome oxidase content decreased significantly.These findings indicate that the seeds were affected to varying degrees during dehydration stress.The results not only lay a foundation for developing key technologies for pre-serving Taxillus chinensis(DC.)Danser seeds but also provide a theoretical basis for the dehydration repair mechanism of recalcitrant seeds.
