Abstract
The principle of"The Soul Gate is also the envoy of the Five Organs"was recorded in Suwen·Wuzang Bielun.It not only reveals the mysteries of the physiological mechanism of the human body,but also provides treatment for stubborn intestinal diseases such as constipation,which is really inspiring.The Pomen is a crucial gateway for the human body to excrete waste.Its opening and closing are orderly and not solely dependent on the power of the large intestine,but are closely related to the functions of the heart,lungs,liver,spleen,and kidneys,forming a harmonious physiological network.The coordination of the functions of the five zang organs,the filling and circulation of Qi and blood,the timely opening and closing of the Pomen,and the natural and smooth defecation are the embodiment of the harmonious concept of"unity of heaven and man"in traditional Chinese medicine.If there is disharmony in the five organs,stagnation of Qi and blood,disorder of the function of the Pomen,constipation and other intestinal diseases arise from it,becoming a hidden worry that hinders human health.Classical prescriptions are the formulas from the classics as Treatise on Cold Pathogenic and Miscellaneous Diseases and those recorded before The Han Dynasty.This review aims to start with the subtle relationship between the"Soul Gate"and the"Five Organs",and deeply explore Professor Yuan Hongxia's valuable experience in using traditional Chinese medicine to treat constipation,expecting to have certain reference value for clinical practice of treating constipation.Professor Yuan,with her profound theoretical knowledge and rich clinical experience in traditional Chinese medicine,has gained insight into the biases in the functions of the five organs.She uses classic prescriptions to harmonize qi and blood,restore harmony among the five zang organs,improve the function of the body's vital energy,solve the problem of constipation,and open up a new way for the treatment of intestinal diseases with traditional Chinese medicine,demonstrating the wisdom and charm of traditional Chinese medicine.关键词
