Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of modified Xiaochaihu decoction on heart rate variability and traditional chinese medicine(TCM)symptom scores in patients with ventricular premature beats.Methods A total of 106 patients with ventricular premature beats admitted to our hospital from October 2021 to October 2024 were selected as the research objects.According to the difference of treatment methods,they were divided into control group(metoprolol tartrate tablets,n=52)and observation group(metoprolol tartrate tablets+modified Xiaochaihu decoction,n=54).The clinical efficacy,TCM symptom score,heart rate variability index[standard deviation of RR interval(SDNN),standard deviation of mean RR interval(SDANN)and root mean square of adjacent RR interval difference(RMSSD)],number of ventricular premature beats and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 94.45%(51/54),which was higher than 80.76%(42/52)in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the TCM symptom scores of both groups showed a decreasing trend,and scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).SDNN,SDANN,and RMSSD showed an increasing trend after treatment in both groups,and the level of the above indicators was higher in the observation group compared with the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the number of episodes of premature ventricular contractions was reduced in both groups,and the observation group was less than the control group(P<0.05).There was no difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Modified Xiaochaihu decoction treatment can effectively improve the clinical efficacy of patients with premature ventricular contractions,alleviate their symptoms,improve heart rate variability,and has a certain degree of safety,which can provide a new option for the combination of traditional Chinese and western medicine treatment of premature ventricular contractions.关键词
