耳穴揿针联合中药脐贴防治晕动症的疗效评价
Evaluation of the efficacy of auricular snap-acupuncture combined with traditional Chinese medicine umbilical cord patch in the prevention and treatment of motion sickness

Abstract
Objective To evaluate the effectiveness of auricular snap-acupuncture in conjunction with a traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)umbilical cord patch for the prevention and treatment of motion sickness.Methods Ninety-six patients diagnosed with motion sickness disorder and treated at our hospital from October 2021 to October 2024 were randomly assigned to three groups:a blank control group,an auricular snap-acupuncture group,and a combined intervention group,with each group consisting of 32 cases.The blank control group received no treatment measures;the auricular snap-acupuncture group underwent treatment using auricular snap-acupuncture;and the combined intervention group was administered TCM umbilical cord patches in addition to auricular snap-acupuncture.We observed changes in behavioral data,electrocardiogram readings,gastric electrocardiogram data,and hormone levels among patients in all three groups before and after the treatment.Results After the treatment,the susceptibility score of motion sickness,the Graybiel score during motion stimulation,the percentage of gastric electrical disorder rhythm after motion stimulation,and the levels of norepinephrine,serotonin and cortisol in the serum of the combined intervention group were lower than those of the auricular snap-acupuncture group and the blank control group(P<0.05).The susceptibility score of motion sickness,the Graybiel score during motion stimulation,the percentage of gastric electrical disorder rhythm after motion stimulation,and the levels of norepinephrine,serotonin and cortisol in serum in the auricular snap-acupuncture group were lower than those in the blank control group(P<0.05).The QT interval,PR interval and QRS duration after motion motion stimulation in the combined intervention group were shorter than those in the auricular snap-acupuncture group and the blank control group(P<0.05).The QT interval,PR interval and QRS duration after motion stimulation in the auricular snap-acupuncture group were shorter than those in the blank control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of auricular snap-acupressure and TCM umbilical patch therapy demonstrates efficacy in the prevention and treatment of motion sickness.This integrated approach reduces susceptibility to motion sickness and alleviates associated symptoms.The therapeutic mechanism primarily involves modulation of autonomic balance,stabilization of gastrointestinal myoelectrical activity,and suppression of stress hormone release.The combined intervention exhibits significantly superior efficacy compared to either modality alone,offering a safe and effective new approach for the treatment of motion sickness.This method merits clinical consideration and broader application.关键词
