Abstract

This study aims to utilize artificial intelligence technology to extract the design genes of intangible cultural heritage Cantonese embroidery and explore their application in innovative design,in order to achieve the creative transformation and development of intangible cultural heritage Cantonese embroidery culture.Representative works of intangible cultural heritage Cantonese embroidery were selected as samples through field research,expert interviews,and literature analysis.Genetic theory was applied to classify and analyze design elements such as patterns,colors,and stitching techniques,and a design gene map was constructed.The Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP)was used to screen for key design factors,and the Midjourney and Stable Diffusion models were employed to generate innovative pattern samples.Based on the SOR theoretical model,innovative patterns consistent with the style of intangible cultural heritage Cantonese embroidery were selected through experimental evaluation and applied to the design of cultural and creative products.Results:a design gene map for intangible cultural heritage Cantonese embroidery was successfully constructed,key design factors were screened,innovative pattern samples were generated,and they were applied to the design of cultural and creative products.This study demonstrates the effectiveness of artificial intelligence technology in the extraction of design genes and innovative design of intangible cultural heritage Cantonese embroidery,providing new methods and ideas for the modernization of traditional crafts and contributing to the inheritance and development of intangible cultural heritage Cantonese embroidery culture.
