摘要

Abstract

Objective To investigate the evaluating effects of the Chinese handwriting characteristics of children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder(ADHD)with smart handwriting analysis and recognition platform(SHARP).Methods From January to October in 2024,a total of 26 children with ADHD from grades 1 to 5 of primary school were selected from the Pediatric Rehabilitation Center of Yangzhi Rehabilitation Hospital Affiliated to Tongji University,and 26 age-matched children with normal development(TD)were included as the control group.The SHARP system was used to evaluate the writing process and writing results,including writing speed,total writing time,on-paper time,pause time,pause/on-paper ration,standard deviation 1,pen pressure,standard deviation 2,out of grid,total writing error and types of error.An independent samples t-test was applied to analyze the differences in key handwriting metrics between the two groups of children.Results There was no statistically significant difference in the writing process between the ADHD and TD group(P>0.05).The errors in the writing results of the ADHD group,omissions,the number of characters with hyphens,the out-of-bounds rate,and the total word count error rate were all significantly worse than those in the TD group(all P<0.05).Conclusion The Chinese handwriting function in children with ADHD is impaired and has certain special characteristics,the results show that standardized writing tests for children may become an auxiliary means for the clinical diagnosis of ADHD.
