Reassessing the Heritage Value and Contemporary Representation of the Yunnan-Vietnam and Ge-Bi-Shi Railways from a Power Discourse Perspective

Abstract
This study examines the Yunnan-Vietnam and Ge-Bi-Shi Railway system from the perspective of power discourse theory,focusing on spatial discipline and local response within the historical context of sea-rail intermodal transport.The research employs architectural,spatial,and symbolic analyses,as well as the study of community participation at key stations,to reveal the dynamic interaction between colonial and national capital.The results indicate that the railway heritage now serves as a platform for discourse negotiation,cultural identity reconstruction,and contemporary value innovation.These findings provide both theoretical and practical references for the conservation and adaptive reuse of railway heritage in border regions.关键词
