Survey and Analysis of Comprehensive Benefit of FSC Bamboo Certification in China:An Empirical Analysis Based on Surveys of Typical Enterprises

Abstract
By systematically evaluating the economic,ecological,and social benefits of FSC bamboo certification for certified enterprises and stakeholders,the actual impact mechanism of certification practice is revealed,in order to provide decision support for promoting the optimization and sustainable development of bamboo certification system.Four FSC-certified bamboo forest enterprises and two non-certified bamboo forest enterprises with similar operating conditions were selected in typical regions to conduct questionnaire surveys,combined with field investigations and quantitative analysis,to identify the differentiated impact pathways driven by certification.The results show that after certification,FSC-certified bamboo forest enterprises have improved and optimized their business management level,bamboo forest management level,facility levels in forest areas,environmental protection awareness,as well as laborers'rights and welfare.FSC-certified enterprises have established closer cooperation with stakeholders and maintained good communication,forming a sound development trend of multi-party participation and mutual benefit.The main differences between FSC-certified bamboo forest enterprises and non-FSC-certified bamboo forest enterprises lie in four aspects:motivation for bamboo forest certification,level of understanding of bamboo forest certification,corporate image needs,and sense of social responsibility.This study puts forward countermeasures and suggestions to promote the development of bamboo forest certification in China:coordinate certification costs and benefits,strengthen biodiversity monitoring,increase policy support and financial inclination,strengthen social publicity,enhance the recognition and participation of the public and enterprises in bamboo forest certification,and facilitate the high-quality development of bamboo industry.关键词
