Abstract
Under the goal of"dual carbon",it is of great significance to explore how design can empower"bamboo"to be part of people's lives based on the concept of"bamboo as a substitute for plastic".Focusing on the humanism theory and modular design, the paper discusses their application to the design of bamboo home furnishing products. From the humanistic perspective, the paper proposes four levels of product design, including human, human and nature, human and society, and human and object(product),analyzes the relationships among the four levels, and summarizes a methodological framework for humanism-centered design. It is believed that applying the modular design method to the design of bamboo home furnishing products is highly in line with the principles of humanism. The modular bamboo home furnishing product design showcases the unity of material sustainability, aesthetic needs, and utility needs, and can enhance the playfulness of the product and create possibilities for expansion. The research indicates that the rational use of bamboo, particularly in combination with modern materials, along with the re-contextualization of its form and the continuation of its cultural significance, and the emphasis on users'participation and design optimization, can significantly contribute to sustainability, playfulness and extendability of bamboo home furnishing products, thereby offering novel forms and valuable references for the future design and utilization of bamboo.关键词
