Professor Fu Yongmin's Experience in Treating Lumbar and Back Myofascial Pain Syndrome by Deep Acupuncture with Long Needle

Abstract
Lumbar and back myofascial pain syndrome belongs to soft tissue injury,which is caused by trauma,sedentary,fatigue,wind dampness,cold evil,and many other factors.This disease can induce pathological changes,inclu-ding muscle fiber spasm,exudation,and edema.As metabolites accumulate in the affected areas,slow blood flow and vaso-constriction occur,leading to muscle stiffness,weakness,and spasm in the lower back,accompanied by symptoms such as heaviness,numbness,and involved pain,thereby seriously impacting the life quality of patients.With tireless study on ancient books of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)and modern medical concepts,Professor FU Yongmin is good at in-tegrating TCM theory with modern medicine.In clinical practice,Professor FU is proficient in deep acupuncture with long needle,which has an ideal effect on lumbar and back myofascial pain syndrome.This article summarizes the experience of Professor FU in treating the syndrome by deep acupuncture with long needle,aiming to provide ideas and guidance for acu-puncturists.关键词
