Recovery and Reconstruction of the CPC's Military Leadership System in the Early Stage of the Agrarian Revolutionary War(1927-1931)

Abstract
After the failure of the Great Revolution,the original military leadership system of the CPC existed in name only.The CPC most often led and launched armed uprisings through Party or-ganizations such as the Front Committee and the Special Committee.The Central Military Depart-ment effectively ceased its activities,and thereafter was even downgraded to a military section.As the understanding of armed struggle deepened,the Sixth National Congress of CPC restored the Cen-tral Military Department and attempted to unify and lead the military work of the whole country with it,driven by the local Party organizations and the Comintern.However,the Central Military Depart-ment in Shanghai could not directly command the Red Army,and the Front Committee and the Spe-cial District Committee still assumed the function of military leadership in the Soviet Area.In order to change the disorganization of the military leadership,the CPC Central Committee initially consid-ered using the Central Military Commission to unify the command of the Red Army.In accordance with the recommendation of the Comintern,the CPC Central Committee kept the Central Military Commission in KMT-ruled area,and at the same time set up the Central Revolutionary Military Committee in the Soviet Area to unify the command of the Red Army throughout the country.Due to the deterioration of the living environment in Shanghai,the temporary Central Committee was forced to move to the Soviet Area,and the Central Military Commission was actually unified with the Cen-tral Revolutionary Military Commission.The recovery and reconstruction of the military leadership system of the CPC was,at a deep level,the result of the unique laws of the Chinese revolution.关键词
