Effect of sludge biochar application on heavy metal enrichment in soil-ryegrass systems

Abstract
In order to investigate the effect of sludge biochar application on heavy metal enrichment in soil and crop,Shajiang black soil was used as the study object,and a ryegrass potting experiment was set up with no sludge biochar application as the control(CK),and the addition of sludge biochar mass fractions of 0%(C0),5%(C5),10%(C10),15%(C15),and 20%(C20)was used to analyze the change characteristics of heavy metal enrichment in the soil-ryegrass system.The results showed that the application of sludge biochar in Shajiang black soil increased the content of Cu and Zn in the soil,and significantly inhibited the uptake of Cu and Zn from the soil environment by ryegrass,while enhanced the uptake of Pb and As by ryegrass.The application of sludge biochar enhanced the transfer of Cu and Zn absorbed by ryegrass from the underground root to the stem and leaf parts,the enrichment of Ni occurred only in the root part,and the high rate of application had a tendency to increase the enrichment of Ni in the root part,and the ryegrass Cu,Pb,and As were mainly enriched in the underground root part,whereas Zn was mainly enriched in the above-ground stem and leaf parts.The application of sludge biochar significantly reduced the content of Pb,Cd and As in the active state of soil,and increased the content of Cu,Zn and Ni in the active state.The content of total heavy metals in the soil increased gradually with the increase of sludge biochar application ration,but it was still significantly lower than the screening value of the risk of soil pollution in agricultural land,and the application of sludge biochar did not cause heavy metal pollution in the soil.The application of sludge biochar to Shajiang black soil at one time,controlling its addition in the range of 5%-15%,did not cause soil pollution,and at the same time,it could inhibit the uptake of major heavy metal elements by ryegrass.关键词
