Latent profile analysis and influencing factors of nursing information practice ability in 2 672 nurses

Abstract
Objective:To explore the latent categories of clinical nurses'information practice capabilities and analyze the influencing factors of these different categories.Methods:A phased multilevel sampling method was employed to select 2 741 nurses from 11 tertiary hospitals,19 secondary hospitals,and 13 primary hospitals in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region between July and September 2024.The study utilized general data questionnaires,nursing information practice capability scales,nursing ethics flexibility scales,and nursing work environment scales for investigation.Latent categories of nurses' information practice capabilities were analyzed through univariate analysis and logistic regression to explore influencing factors.Results:Ultimately,2 672 nurses were included.Latent profile analysis revealed that nurses in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region could be categorized into three groups:low-information practice capability(36.4%),moderate-information practice capability-ethics and regulations type(39.4%),and high-information practice capability type(24.2%).Logistic regression analysis revealed that work department,nursing work environment,nursing ethical resilience,receipt of nursing informatics-related training,whether there were night shifts within the past year,and willingness to take the initiative to learn professional knowledge online or not were influencing factors for the potential profiles of clinical nurses' nursing informatics practice competency(P<0.05).Conclusions:The nursing information practice ability of nurses in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region is at a medium level and has obvious classification characteristics.Nursing managers can adopt effective intervention methods to improve the nursing information practice ability of nurses according to different categories of nurses.关键词
