Effect of mind-map-based bird imitation exercise of Wuqinxi guided by visual communication theory on cancer-related fatigue and immune function in patients with non-small cell lung cancer

Abstract
Objective:To explore the effect of mind-map-based Bird Imitation Exercise of Wuqinxi guided by visual communication theory on cancer-related fatigue and immune function in patients with non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).Methods:A total of 52 NSCLC patients from a tertiary grade A hospital were selected and randomly divided into a control group(n=26)and an intervention group(n=26).The control group received routine care,while the intervention group received additional mind-map-based Bird Imitation Exercise of Wuqinxi guided by visual communication theory.The Revised Piper Fatigue Scale(PFS-R)scores,peripheral blood T lymphocyte subset levels,and Karnofsky Performance Status(KPS)scores were compared between the two groups before and after 12 weeks of intervention.Results:Before the intervention,there were no significant differences in cancer-related fatigue,immune function,or physical performance between the two groups(P>0.05).After 12 weeks of intervention,the fatigue score in the intervention group was 3.5(3.0,5.0),which was significantly lower than that in the control group[5.0(4.0,6.0)];the levels of CD3⁺,CD4⁺,and CD4⁺/CD8⁺were higher,while CD8⁺ was lower in the intervention group compared to the control group;the KPS score in the intervention group was 90(90,90),significantly higher than that in the control group[80(70,90)].All differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Furthermore,there was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups during the study period(P>0.05).Conclusions:Mind-map-based Bird Imitation Exercise of Wuqinxi guided by visual communication theory could help alleviate cancer-related fatigue,improve immune function,and enhance physical performance in patients with NSCLC.关键词
