Changes and detection significance of CXCR2,SDF-1 and MCP-1 levels in aqueous humor of patients with acute primary angle closure glaucoma

Abstract
Objective:To investigate the changes in the levels of CXC chemokine receptor 2(CXCR2),stromal cell-derived factor-1(SDF-1)and monocyte chemoattractant protein-1(MCP-1)in the aqueous humor of patients with acute primary angle closure glaucoma(APACG)and their detection significance.Methods:A total of 128 APACG patients undergoing trabeculectomy were selected as the APACG group,and 100 cataract patients(with nor-mal intraocular pressure)undergoing phacoemulsification during the same period were selected as the control group.The APACG patients were further divided into a successful surgery group(96 cases)and a failed surgery group(32 cases)based on the postoperative outcomes.The levels of CXCR2,SDF-1 and MCP-1 in the aqueous humor were de-tected using the ELISA method.Multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to identify the influencing factors of trabeculectomy failure in APACG patients,and ROC curves were used to analyze the predictive value of aqueous humor CXCR2,SDF-1 and MCP-1 for trabeculectomy failure.Results:Compared with the control group,the levels of CXCR2,SDF-1 and MCP-1 in the aqueous humor of the APACG group were significantly higher(all P<0.05).There were no statistically significant differences in age,gender,onset time,preoperative number of glaucoma medica-tions,intraocular pressure,and postoperative number of intraocular pressure-lowering medications between the suc-cessful and failed surgery groups(all P>0.05).The levels of CXCR2,SDF-1 and MCP-1 in the aqueous humor of the failed surgery group were higher than those in the successful surgery group(all P<0.05).Aqueous humor CXCR2,SDF-1 and MCP-1 were identified as influencing factors for trabeculectomy failure in APACG patients(all P<0.05).The AUC for predicting trabeculectomy failure using aqueous humor CXCR2,SDF-1,MCP-1 and their combination were 0.885,0.686,0.757 and 0.953,respectively,with the highest AUC for the combined prediction(all P<0.05).Conclusion:Elevated levels of CXCR2,SDF-1 and MCP-1 in the aqueous humor of APACG patients are associated with trabeculectomy failure and have certain predictive value for it.关键词
