Abstract

The optimization of production parameters for conventional rod pumped wells is mainly focused on pump diameter,stroke,stroke frequency and pump depth.However,for intermittent rod pumped wells,while remaining the production parameters constant,the flowing time and well off time are designed alone.Moreover,the dynamic changes of pump efficiency with oil extraction time are often ignored,while the pump efficiency is often simplified as a constant value,resulting in deviations between the optimization results and actual production.To address this issue,a comprehensive optimization of production parameters under intermittent production conditions was carried out.By establishing a simulation model of the energy consumption for the oil extraction system,considering the dynamic changes of pump efficiency during the startup process,a coupling model integrating pump displacement coefficient and measured well flowing pressure drop data was built to analyze the influence of pumping parameters and intermittent operation schedule on energy consumption.Under the condition of ensuring a constant production volume,an optimization model was established with the goal of minimizing energy consumption.A comprehensive multi-parameter optimization method inclusive of pump diameter,stroke,stroke frequency,and startup and shutdown time is proposed.Field application of this method in 50 wells.showed that the average daily power consumption before the treatment was 118.78 kW·h,while 105.34 kW·h after the treatment,with an average power saving rate of 11.32%.The research demonstrates that the comprehensive optimization method for pumping parameters and intermittent operation schedule reduces the errors inherent in the conventional methods,can effectively lower the system energy consumption,and has achieved sound energy-saving effects.
