Advances in the impact of environmental microplastic exposure on women's reproductive health
摘要
Abstract
Environmental exposure to microplastics has become a global concern in both ecological and health contexts,with particular attention being paid to its potential threats to women's reproductive health.This study systematically identifies the main pathways of microplastic exposure in daily life and their multifaceted impacts on the female reproductive system,including endocrine disruption,ovarian dysfunction,alterations in the uterine microenvironment,and adverse effects on the placenta and offspring development.Additionally,this study delves into the potential toxicological mechanisms of microplastics on reproductive health,such as the induction of inflammatory responses,cytotoxicity,oxidative stress,and epigenetic modifications.Lastly,by addressing the current gaps and limitations in existing research,the study proposes priorities for future investigations,aiming to provide theoretical support for elucidating the potential mechanisms of microplastics affecting reproductive health and formulating scientific strategies.关键词
