Abstract

With the rapid development of urban rail transit,ultra-deep and ultra-large underground hubs will become key nodes in the optimization of urban transportation networks.Taking the Wuhe Hub of the Shenzhen-Dayawan Intercity Railway as the research object,this paper described its main engineering characteristics,including complex boundary conditions,an ultra-deep foundation pit,and an ultra-large scale.It thoroughly investigated topology optimization strategies for the overall structural scheme of ultra-deep and ultra-large underground projects in urban core areas,encompassing construction techniques and methods,retaining structural systems,and horizontal structural systems.Through comprehensive comparative studies,this paper demonstrated that adopting a structural scheme that integrates permanent and temporary structures and is adapted to the previous works and surrounding environmental elements,was a superior solution.Meanwhile,it explored critical technologies and optimization schemes for key components in the project,namely concrete-filled steel tubular column-beam joints and mega piles.By applying a topology optimization approach,the dimensions of the mega components and the consumption of steel reinforcement were significantly optimized.Based on the structural topology optimization method,the overall structural scheme and key components for constructing an ultra-deep and ultra-large underground hub under complex boundary conditions were optimized.This approach achieves optimal distribution of engineering materials,maximizes social benefits,and reduces construction costs and negative environmental impacts,while satisfying the prerequisites of safety,serviceability,and durability.The findings provide references for the design of similar ultra-deep and ultra-large underground hubs.
