Digital Economy,Population Mobility and Urban-Rural Common Prosperity
摘要
Abstract
Against the backdrop of the continuous deepening of the new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation,the digital economy has become a new engine for bridging the development gap between urban and rural areas and facilitating the realization of the goal of common prosperity in both urban and rural areas.This paper selects the panel data from 279 prefecture-level and above cities in China from 2012 to 2022 to empirically test the impact of the digital economy on common prosperity in urban and rural areas,and then examines the influence mechanism and threshold effect of the digital economy on common prosperity in urban and rural areas from the perspective of population mobility.The results are shown as be-low:The digital economy has a significant positive impact on urban and rural common prosperity.In the sub-dimensional test,dig-ital infrastructure has the strongest promoting effect on urban and rural common prosperity;the digital economy has a stronger role in promoting urban and rural common prosperity in large cities and eastern regions.Population mobility is an important transmis-sion mechanism for digital economy to affect common prosperity between urban and rural areas,that is,the digital economy can in-directly promote common prosperity between urban and rural areas by promoting population mobility.The results of threshold ef-fect test show that when population mobility is taken as the threshold variable,the impact of the digital economy on common pros-perity in urban and rural areas has an inverted U-shaped nonlinear characteristic.关键词
