Abstract

The application of rock-filled concrete has significant advantages in reducing costs,improving efficiency,and enhancing envi-ronmental performance,making it particularly suitable for mass water conservancy and hydropower projects.Although existing studies have confirmed that the compressive strength,tensile strength,elastic modulus,and other mechanical properties of rock-filled concrete can meet the requirements of conventional engineering,the research on its mechanical properties still faces many challenges.These chal-lenges are especially reflected in the characterization of mesostructure and the response of macroscopic mechanical properties,as well as the development of accurate and efficient methods for establishing mesoscopic models.Therefore,this paper reviews the research progress on the mechanical properties of rock-filled concrete in recent years.The results show that the compressive strength of rock-filled concrete is affected by multiple factors such as rock fill and pores,with certain discreteness in test data and obvious size effect;the rock fill ratio is the main factor affecting the elastic modulus,while the interlayer shear strength is mainly related to the exposed area and height of rock fill.Finally,suggestions are put forward for the further research direction of the mechanical properties of rock-filled concrete.
