Abstract

To study the electrical characteristics of karst in carbonate rock areas of Renhuai City,Guizhou Province and analyze the distri-bution law of karst in this area,the high-density electrical method was applied to the karst survey on the left bank of the reservoir area of the Meijiu Lake Tourism Project in Renhuai City,and the resistivity characteristics of the main lithologies in the area were obtained.The results show that:the resistivity range of lime dolomite is 500~700 Ω·m,the resistivity range of dolomitic limestone is 1 000~1 800 Ω·m,the resistivity range of clay is 50~100 Ω·m,and the karst with fillings has a resistivity range of 20~80 Ω·m;after verifying the No.Ⅰanomaly position of Profile 1 by drilling ZK5,this method is proven reliable.Drilling data reveal water leakage at a depth of 28.6 m and drill jamming at a depth of 28.5~29.8 m,and the actual karst position is consistent with the result inferred by the high-density electrical method.In the upper member of the Qingxudong Formation of the Lower Cambrian System in the area,karst develop-ment is distributed in a beaded pattern at approximately 30 m near the lithological contact surface,and the direction of karst development controlled by tectonics is perpendicular to the main tectonics in the area.Surface water replenishes the karst channels through depres-sions.The research results prove that the high-density electrical method can well reveal information about the plane position and depth of karst cave development in carbonate rock areas.
