Abstract
Objective To promote the scientific and standardized management of hospital UPS lead-acid batteries,a-chieving safe and refined control.Methods Based on system safety theory,a closed-loop safety management system for hospital UPS lead-acid batteries was constructed by addressing the four contributing factors of accidents:unsafe human behavior,unsafe physical conditions,unfavorable environmental factors,and management deficiencies.Results Comprehensive safety manage-ment coverage was achieved for 2 563 UPS lead-acid batteries across two hospital campuses and a medical research institute,with a 100%visualization rate of battery health status.The practice of retiring batteries based solely on service life was eliminated,and the average service life of batteries was extended by 1.5 years.Conclusion The safety management model for UPS lead-acid batteries,constructed based on system safety theory,significantly enhances the safety management level of hospital UPS lead-acid batteries,greatly reduces battery safety risks,extends battery service life,and yields both safety and economic benefits.关键词
