摘要
Abstract
Atherosclerosis(AS)is a chronic vascular disease and an important pathological basis for cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.Macrophages play a dual role in occurrence and progression of AS:on one hand,they exacerbate AS through pathological processes such as promoting inflammatory responses,oxidative stress,and ferroptosis;on the other hand,the efferocytosis helps maintain plaque stability by eliminating apoptotic cells and inhibiting the spread of local inflammation.A systematic analysis of the multidimensional functions of macrophages in AS and the regulatory mechanism will provide a new theoretical foundation for disease prevention and treatment,and lay the groundwork for developing precise intervention strategies and clinical translation.关键词
