From Tea Roller to Medicine Roller:The Origins of the Ancient Pharmaceutical Tool Medicine Roller
摘要
Abstract
From the archaeological excavation data,the roller boat first appeared in the Tang Dynasty,and its original use was to grind tea.Since the Yuan Dynasty,due to the change of tea drinking methods,the roller boat was no longer an essential tea utensil.The roller boat began to be used for medicine processing in the mid to late Tang Dynasty,and it has been a common tool for medicine processing since then.The shape of the roller boat has undergone a process of evolution from rectangle shape to boat shape.The boat-shaped roller appeared in the late Tang Dynasty and remained until today.Because the roller boat was widely used in the processing of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM),it has become a cultural symbol of TCM to a certain extent.Studying its origins and evolution contributes to a deeper understanding of the inheritance and development of TCM techniques.and holds significant importance for the preservation and promotion of TCM cultural heritage.关键词
