Abstract
The"Daocang Method(倒仓法)",originated from Zhu Danxi's(朱丹溪)Ge Zhi Yu Lun(《格致余论》Further Discourses on the Acquisition of Knowledge through Profound Study),is employed to treat diseases caused by accumulation of phlegm and static blood by using yellow beef decoction to trigger sweating, vomiting and purging.By integrating analyses of inherited texts and excavated documents, this paper examines the relationship between Daocang Method and the three methods of sweating, vomiting and purging.Taking the statement of Zhu Danxi that"the formula originated from a foreigner in the Western region"as a clue,it further explores the connection between this method and Western regions medicine.Traditional Indian Ayurvedic Medicine attaches importance to sweating, vomiting and purging based on its fundamental concept of"purification".Ayurveda's appreciation for purification may have,to some extent, inspired Zhu Danxi's conceptual development. However, the therapeutic strategy of Daocang Method is unique, which represents a refinement and evolution of elimination therapy under the guidance of core principle of"protecting vital qi"in Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM).The exploration of distinctive TCM therapies through the lens of mutual learning among diverse medical civilizations reveals the autonomy and creativity inherent in TCM theory's assimilation of external knowledge. This provides valuable insights and inspiration for fostering international dialogue and innovative development of TCM.关键词
