The Channel Branches&Network Vessels on the Tianhui Lacquered Meridian Figurine:Taking the Heart-Regulated Channel as an Example

Abstract
This paper integrates the information about branch channels,collateral channels,inscriptions,dots and other relics on the Tianhui Lacquered Meridian Figurine to compare the unearthed meridian literature with the transmitted classical literature on acupuncture.Taking the"Heart-Regulated Meridian"mentioned in Tian Hui Yi Jian(《天回医简》Tianhui Medical Slips)as an example,it explains the genesis,development,and evolution of branch channels and collateral channels in the early meridian system.The increasing number of branches,collaterals and acupoints is an important feature of the development of meridian medicine during the Western Han Dynasty.This phenomenon reflects not only the expanding theoretical framework of the meridian system but also the inevitable outcome of enriched and accumulated clinical experience.关键词
