Abstract

As one of the four major food crops,potatoes have high nutritional value and strong stress resistance.This study aimed to clarify the differences in stress resistance and yield among different potato varieties and to screen for high-yield and stress-resistant potato varieties.Twenty potato varieties(lines)were used as research materials.Their stress resistance and yield traits were measured,and the differences in various indicators were analyzed using comparative analysis.Comprehensive evaluation was performed using principal component analysis and membership function method.The coefficient of variation for stress resistance traits among different potato varieties(lines)ranged from 10.19%to 27.17%.'Chuanyin 2'had the highest leaf relative water content,and its proline content was nearly the highest.'Jingzhangshu 1'performed best in plant height and proline content.The coefficient of variation for yield traits ranged from 32.42%to 58.31%.'Kexin 19'had the highest number of tubers per plant,whereas'Jingzhangshu 1'exhibited the best performance in tuber yield per plant,marketable tuber percentage,and tuber weight,demonstrating optimal yield traits.Principal component analysis was conducted on various indicators,extracting three principal components,tuber yield per plant,tuber weight,and leaf relative water content.Through membership function evaluation,'Jingzhangshu 1'was identified as the variety with the best comprehensive evaluation,followed by'Dafeng 10',and the poorest was'Longshu 20'.'Jingzhangshu 1'and'Dafeng 10'could be promoted as the main potato varieties for cultivation and promotion in the northern Shanxi Province.
