Research Progress on Candidate Functional Genes Related to the Growth Traits of Dairy Cows

Abstract
The development status of dairy cows themselves directly affects the economic benefits of the cattle farm.The growth traits of dairy cows are the traits related to their growth and development.The early growth and development status of dairy cows directly affects their milk production,reproduction,health and other issues in the future.Genomic selection(GS)technology introduces artificial selection to predict the genomic breeding values of individuals using high-density genetic markers covering the entire genome,evaluate and select individuals with excellent genes for reproduction,making the selection and breeding of excellent dairy cow breeds more efficient and accurate,and thereby accelerating the genetic breeding process of dairy cows.This article mainly reviews the functional candidate genes that potentially affect the growth traits of dairy cows,with the aim of providing a certain theoretical basis for dairy cow breeding.关键词
