Definition and design considerations of sham acupuncture
摘要
Abstract
Sham acupuncture,as a control modality,has been widely used in clinical studies to verify the specific effects of acupuncture and meridians and acupoints,with a clear purpose of use,but its specific implementation methods are complicated and diverse,which has caused great application problems for acupuncture clinicians and researchers.By analyzing the definition and application of sham acupuncture and its connection with the traditional theory of acupuncture and moxibustion in various literatures in recent years,we explore the possibility of optimising the design of sham acupuncture from the perspectives of the location of acupuncture,the depth of needle insertion and situational factors,with the aim of providing certain references for the design and development of future clinical studies on acupuncture.关键词
