Analysis of Risk Warning for Severe Mycoplasma Pneumonia with Syndrome of Phlegm-Heat Obstructing Lung

Abstract
Objective:To investigate the impact of tongue and pulse characteristics,imaging findings,and labo-ratory indicators on the progression to severe mycoplasma pneumonia(MPP)with syndrome of phlegm-heat ob-structing lung,providing reference for early identification of severe cases in clinical practice.Methods:A retro-spective analysis was conducted on 200 MPP patients(144 mild cases and 56 severe cases).Chi-square tests and multivariate logistic regression analysis were used to compare differences in tongue quality,tongue coating,pulse condition,imaging features,and laboratory indicators between the two groups,identifying risk factors associated with severity.Results:There were no significant differences in gender and age between the two groups(P>0.05).Tongue and pulse characteristics:In the severe group,red tongue quality was more common(P<0.05),thick yel-low greasy tongue coating was predominant(P<0.05),and slippery rapid pulse was frequently observed(P<0.05).Imaging findings:Pulmonary consolidation was more common in the severe group(P<0.05),but the positive rates of tree-in-bud sign and ground-glass opacity were lower(both P<0.05).Laboratory indicators:The proportion of elevated lactate dehydrogenase(LDH)was significantly higher in the severe group than in the mild group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Red tongue quality,thick yellow greasy tongue coating,slippery rapid pulse,pulmonary consol-idation,and elevated LDH may be associated with the progression to severe MPP with syndrome of phlegm-heat obstructing lung,which may serve as potential early predictive indicators.关键词
