18例岭南火针治疗结膜囊肿的疗效观察
Clinical Observation of Lingnan Fire Needle in Treating 18 Cases of Conjunctival Cysts

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To observe the efficacy and safety of Lingnan Fire Needle in treating conjunctival cysts.METHODS A total of 18 patients(18 eyes)with conjunctival cysts diagnosed and treated at the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine from July 2023 to February 2024 were enrolled.The cyst sites were punctured with Lingnan Fire Needle.The cyst diameters were measured before treatment and at 7 days and 28 days after treatment.Ocular symptom scores were recorded to evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of Lingnan Fire Needle in treating conjunctival cysts.RESULTS(1)Cyst diameter:Compared with pretreatment,the cyst diameters immediately,at 7 days and 28 days after treatment were significantly reduced(timmediately=-10.959,t7 d=-12.150,t28 d=-10.959,all P=0.000).No significant differences were observed between the cyst diameters at 7 days and 28 days after treatment compared with those immediately after treatment(P>0.05).No significant difference was found between the cyst diameters at 28 days and those at 7 days after treatment(P>0.05).(2)Ocular symptom scores:Compared with pretreatment,the scores immediately,at 7 days and at 28 days after treatment were significantly decreased(timmediately=-10.974,t7 d=-14.164,t28 d=-13.199,all P=0.000).Compared with those immediately after treatment,the scores at 7 days and 28 days after treatment were significantly reduced(t7 d=-4.808,t28 d=-6.551,both P=0.000).The scores at 28 days after treatment were significantly lower than those at 7 days(t=-3.828,P=0.001).(3)Clinical efficacy:The total effective rates at 7 days and 28 days after treatment were both 100%.(4)Recurrence:Among the 18 patients,3 cases(16.67%)experienced recurrence at 7 days after treatment but recovered after retreatment.(5)Adverse reactions:Subconjunctival patchy hemorrhage occurred in 5 cases(27.78%),which was mostly absorbed by 7 days after treatment.Local conjunctival roughness and slight pigmentation were observed in 4 cases(22.22%).No iatrogenic damage to the cornea or conjunctiva occurred in any patient.CONCLUSIONS Lingnan Fire Needle is simple to operate,has definite efficacy.It is a convenient and effective external therapy with Traditional Chinese Medicine characteristics for treating conjunctival cysts and is worthy of promotion.关键词
