Analysis on the Practical Effect of Formative Assessment in Online Teaching of the Elective Course Analysis of Medicinal Diets for the Twenty-four Solar Terms

Abstract
In order to fully utilize the guidance,evaluation,feedback,and motivating role of assessment in teaching,this study focused on students and used the Chaoxing Fanya platform to track and record the entire process of each student's learning in elective courses.Objective and real-time evaluation was conducted to construct a complete and systematic formative evaluation system for online teach-ing of elective courses.The course Analysis of Medicinal Diets for the Twenty-four Solar Terms was offered throughout the academic year at Xinxiang Medical University.It attracts a large number of students with a wide range of majors.A well-established formative assessment system for online teaching has been developed for this course,covering multiple links such as check-in,interaction,as-signments,unit tests,discussions,visit frequency,and examinations.This system examined the role of the weight of different items in stimulating students'interest and enthusiasm for learning,and objectively and fairly evaluates students'learning process in the course.The research results have certain guiding significance for the assessment and evaluation of online teaching in elective courses at medical colleges and universities and promotional value.关键词
