Construction of General Disease Resistance Model Based on Principal Component Analysis in Licha Black Pigs

Abstract
Currently,the pig breeding primarily focus on growth rate and lean meat percentage,while disease resistance has received comparatively less attention.Constructing an evaluation model for general disease resistance in pigs and identifying its key genetic loci is of great importance for improving the overall health status of pig populations through molecular breeding.In this study,blood samples were collected from 50 Licha Black pigs,and serum immune traits(IgA,IgG,IgM,IFNγ,IL-4,IL-12)as well as hematological parameters(neutrophil count,monocyte count,white blood cell count,lymphocyte count,platelet count,hemoglobin,and red blood cell count)were measured.Based on principal component analysis(PCA)of these 13 indicators,a comprehensive evaluation model was constructed,and the population was subsequently divided into high-score and low-score groups according to the model results.Genomic resequencing data were then integrated to perform selective sweep analyses between the two groups,aiming to identify immune-related genes.The PCA model based on the 13 blood indicators revealed that the first five principal components explained nearly 88%of the total variance.Selective sweep analyses between the high-and low-score groups identified candidate regions under selection,which were further subjected to FST and nucleotide diversity(TT)analyses.Two genomic regions,Chr2_17080001_17230000 and Chrl 3_17080001-17230000,exhibited strong signals of selection,and were annotated to three candidate genes:SYT13,PRDM11,and ACKR4.These genes may be associated with general disease resistance in pigs.In summary,this study established a comprehensive evaluation model for general disease resistance in pigs based on 13 hematological and immune indicators,two key candidate regions on chromosomes 2 and 13,along with three candidate genes(SYT13,PRDM11,and A CKR4),were preliminarily identified as being associated with general disease resistance.These findings provide important insights into the genetic mechanisms underlying general disease resistance in pigs and offer potential gene targets for future molecular breeding aimed at improving disease resilience.关键词
