Study on Different Residual Feed Intake and Slaughter Performance of AoDuhu Male Lambs
摘要
Abstract
The hybrid generation of Dorper sheep and Hu sheep was used as the female parent, and Australian white sheep was used as the male parent for hybridization.A total of 99 Australian white sheep and Dorper-Hu sheep ternary hybrid F1 male lambs(80-180 days old)were selected for the determination of growth and development traits and feed efficiency traits during the fattening period. At 180 days of age, three groups of extreme values of residual feed intake(high, medium and low)were selected, and 12 lambs in each group were slaughtered to collect slaughter traits data. The results showed that the heart weight, liver weight, spleen weight and stomach weight of sheep with high feed efficiency(Low-RFI group)were lighter. The results showed that the basal metabolic rate of sheep with high feed efficiency(Low-RFI group)was lower than that of sheep with low feed efficiency(High-RFI group).Significant increases in perirenal and mesenteric fat weights were observed in the High-RFI group relative to the Low-RFI group(P<0.01).Furthermore,mesenteric fat displayed a positive correlation with RFI(P<0.05).The sheep with low feed efficiency(High-RFI group)had more fat deposition in the body, and the sheep with high feed efficiency(Low-RFI group)had less fat deposition in the body.In this study,it was concluded that the fat deposition in the High-RFI group was more than that in the Low-RFI group, and there were different significant correlations between slaughter traits, fat deposition and body composition in different RFI groups.关键词
