Effect of Kaiqiao Liyan Acupuncture Combined with Swallowing Function Training on Patients with Post-Stroke Dysphagia and Its Impact on Complications

Abstract
Objective:To investigate the effect of Kaiqiao Liyan(opening orifices and benefiting throat)acupuncture combined with swallowing function training on patients with post-stroke dysphagia and its impact on complications.Methods:92 patients with post-stroke dysphagia were randomly divided into the study group and the control group,with 46 cases in each group.The control group was given swallowing function training combined with conventional treatment;on which basis,the study group was also treated with Kaiqiao Liyan acupuncture.The grades of Kubota Water Swallowing Test and Penetration-Aspiration Scale(PAS),as well as the score of Swallowing Assessment(SSA)were compared between the two groups after the treatment.The systolic peak velocity(Vs),mean flow velocity(Vm),resistance index(RI),incidence of complications,and clinical efficacy were recorded in both groups.Results:The score of SSA,and the grades of Kubota Water Swallowing Test and PAS were lower in the study group than those in the control group(P＜0.05).The Vs and Vm were higher and the RI was lower after the treatment than those before the treatment in the two groups,and the improvements were more significant in the study group than those in the control group(P＜0.05).It terms of the incidence rate of complications,it was 15.22％(7/46)in the study group and 32.61％(15/46)in the control group,in which there was no statistical difference between the two groups(P＞0.05).In terms of the total effective rate,it was 84.78％(39/46)in the study group,which was significantly higher than 65.22％(30/46)in the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion:The application of Kaiqiao Liyan acupuncture combined with swallowing function training for post-stroke dysphagia can effectively improve the swallowing function and cerebral hemodynamics,which has a good safety profile.关键词
