Abstract
Traveling wave tube amplifiers(TWTAs)are key products for space payloads.At the beginning of the 21st century,almost all the space TWTAs in China rely on imports.In the past 20 years,domestic space TW-TAs have made significant progress and basically achieved comprehensive nationalization.The space TWTAs de-veloped by the Xi'an Branch of the Fifth Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation cov-ers the frequency range from L-band to Q/V band for on-orbit applications,with a continuous wave output power of 220 W and a pulse power of 1800 W.The cumulative number of products on-orbit applications exceeds 780,with a cumulative working time of over 11 million hours.The on-orbit failure rate and life assessment data show that domestically produced space TWTAs can meet the high reliability and long-life requirements of the system.Faced with fierce competition from solid-state power amplifiers,phased arrays,and laser communication systems,domestic TWTAs need to enhance the competitiveness in terms of manufacturability improvement,performance im-provement,product innovation,and application innovation.关键词
