Abstract
Aiming to the backward-wave oscillation phenomenon in a Ka-band 1kW pulsed traveling wave tube,the generation causes and mechanisms of backward-wave are analyzed.Based on the theory study of phase velocity gradual/sudden change,corresponding scheme to suppress backward-wave oscillation is designed by using solutions such as"half-moon"tube shells,dual gradual changes both in pitch and inner diameter,and built-in at-tenuators.The effectiveness of the scheme is verified through actual tube assembly.The research provides effective methods and technical means for suppressing backward-wave oscillation in high-power pulsed traveling wave tubes.关键词
