Abstract
During strong winds,narrow passages between buildings are prone to forming a"wind tunnel effect",significantly amplifying instantaneous wind speed,which seriously impedes pedestrian activities and even poses safety risks.To investigate the optimizing effect of windbreaks on the wind environment at pedestrian level within such passages,this study employs BIM technology to simulate and optimize the pedestrian wind environment around an existing building complex.By varying the location,width,and porosity of the windbreaks,optimized design scenarios are developed,and a quantitative evaluation of the pedestrian wind environment under each scenario is conducted based on local climatic conditions.The results demonstrate that appropriately arranged windbreaks can effectively mitigate strong winds caused by the wind tunnel effect,with the placement of windbreaks having a considerable influence on their performance.This study provides a theoretical basis and practical reference for using windbreaks to improve unfavorable pedestrian wind environments in architectural design,offering insights for addressing similar engineering challenges.关键词
