Abstract
Objective:To observe the effect of the self-designed formula for removing blood stasis and strengthening bones on the fracture healing time and elbow joint function of patients with intercondylar humeral fractures treated with double plate internal fixation.Method:A total of 102 patients with intercondylar fractures of the humerus,admitted to Nanan City Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Fujian Province from June 2022 to June 2024 were selected as the study objects.Using a random number table method,they were divided into an observation group and a control group,with 51 cases in each group.Both groups underwent double plate internal fixation.The control group received routine postoperative intervention,while the observation group was additionally treated with the self-formulated prescription for Removing Stasis and Strengthening Bone.The intervention period was 4 weeks.The postoperative recovery indicators,traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores,pain levels,elbow joint function,and complications were compared between the two groups.Result:The time to pain relief in the affected limb,the time for swelling to subside,and the fracture healing time were all shorter in the observation group than in the control group.The scores for various symptoms and the Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)for pain were lower in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).The Mayo Elbow Performance Score(MEPS)was higher in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).The total incidence of postoperative infection,muscle atrophy,traumatic arthritis,and fracture nonunion was lower in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The combination of the self-formulated prescription for Removing Stasis and Strengthening Bone with double plate internal fixation for intercondylar fractures of the humerus can promote fracture healing,improve elbow joint function,alleviate pain,and reduce postoperative complications.关键词
