Abstract

The construction of vocational and technical education discipline system can provide theoretic framework and logical guidance for the talent cultivation,scientifical research and practical development of vocational education.On the question of"what kind of discipline system to construct",China's vocational education scholarship is deeply influenced by the"distinction logic"which holds that a disciplinary system for vocational pedagogy should be established that is distinct from general pedagogy.Regarding"how to construct the discipline system",the field of vocational education in China is dominated by the"architectural logic"and the"cross-boundary logic".The"architectural logic"interprets"construction"as the building activities of construction workers,arguing that the disciplinary system of vocational pedagogy should be built in the same way construction workers build various infrastructures.The"cross-boundary logic"refers to the view that a theoretical system for vocational pedagogy can only be constructed through cross-boundary research in vocational education.Each of these logics has its rationality,but the premise of the"distinction logic"is questionable,the"construction logic"has a misunderstanding of"construction",and while the"cross-boundary logic"is generally correct,education and vocational education research have already crossed boundaries.Therefore,the field of vocational education should abandon these three logics and return to the original meaning of the discipline to construct its system.Based on this,the following strategies can be adopted for constructing the discipline system of vocational pedagogy:correctly understanding the"discipline system";adhering to problem-oriented vocational education research;continuously improving the level of vocational education research;vigorously developing organized vocational education research.
