Research Report on Cultivation Industry of Astragali Radix in China from 2023 to 2024
摘要
Abstract
Astragali Radix(Huangqi),a traditional Qi-tonifying herb recognized as both a food and medicinal substance,holds significant value in traditional Chinese medicine and the health industry.Based on systematic investigations of major Astragalus Radix cultivation regions in China(Gansu,Inner Mongolia,Shanxi,etc.)conducted from 2023 to 2024,this study analyzes its cultivation modes,cultivation and production status in major regions,and industrial development trends.Key findings are as follows:1)Current production is predominantly dominated by Astragalus membranaceus var.mongholicus,while A.membranaceus is rarely cultivated;2)Astragali Radix is divided into two types based on different cultivation modes:wild-simulated Astragali Radix(harvested after 6 years,primarily in Shanxi Hengshan mountain range and Shaanxi Zizhou)and short-cycle Astragali Radix(transplanted and harvested after 2 years,mainly in Gansu and Inner Mongolia).The former exhibits superior quality and commands higher prices but faces industrial development bottlenecks,while the latter accounts for over 95%of total production;3)The primary use of Astragali Radix is for human medicines(as decoction pieces and Chinese traditional patent medicines),with growing demand in veterinary medicine,feed additives,health food,and functional food ingredients.Notably,veterinary-use Astragalus Radix polysaccharide demand has surged under the influence of"antibiotic replacement"policy in China;4)The translocation of production areas due to factors such as continuous cropping obstacles has led to variations in medicinal quality,hybridization of germplasm resources(between A.membranaceus var.mongholicus and A.membranaceus),and the lack of quality standards for wild-simulated Astragali Radix in genuine medicinal materials.These issues pose major challenges to the sustainable development of the Astragalus Radix cultivation industry.It is recommended to enhance germplasm resources purification and variety breeding,establish quality standards of genuine medicinal materials,optimize crop rotation systems,and guide orderly development of production regions to foster sustainable industry growth.关键词
