Abstract
Objective:To observe the efficacy of"simultaneous treatment of heart and brain"acupuncture treatment combined with cognitive function training in children with cerebral palsy and intellectual disability and its effects on serum S100β and NSE.Methods:Forty children with cerebral palsy and intellectual disability(met the inclusion criteria)treated at The First Affiliated Hospital of Hunan University of Chinese Medicine were selected and randomly divided into an observation group and a control group using a random number table,with 20 cases in each group.On the basis of conventional basic treatment,the control group received cognitive function training,while the observation group received"simultaneous treatment of heart and brain"acupuncture in addition to the control group's treatment.The treatment frequency was once daily,5 times per week,with every 4 weeks as one cycle,for a total of 3 consecutive cycles.The developmental quotient(DQ)scores,activities of daily living(ADL)scale scores,and changes in serum S100β and NSE levels were compared between the two groups before and after treatment.Results:Compared with before treatment,the DQ scores and ADL scores of both groups were significantly improved after treatment,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).After treatment,the DQ and ADL scores of the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The serum S100β and NSE levels of both groups after treatment were significantly lower than those before treatment(P<0.05),and the serum S100β and NSE levels of the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:"Simultaneous treatment of heart and brain"acupuncture treatment combined with cognitive function training can effectively improve cognitive ability and enhance activities of daily living in children with cerebral palsy and intellectual disability,while reducing serum NSE and S100β levels.关键词
